Called by its author “Diet Revolution”, the scheme was renamed the American physician Robert Coleman Atkins has developed in the early 1970s, and published it in book form in 1975. Zoom in on this scheme.

Followed by millions of women and men around the world, the Atkins diet back in fashion today, as evidenced by a new book published by Plon in 2005, “Atkins for Life” and decorated with recipes that n were not present in the original edition. He brings with him all the schemes known as “Low Carb” is to say no or low carbohydrates (sugars), very popular now.

The Diet Soup

The diet soup was developed some years ago in an American hospital in order to lose weight quickly obese patients undergoing surgery. It gives pride to a vegetable soup adorned with slimming. It helps to lose weight safely, but after 2 weeks of diet, it necessarily takes the weight.

The Protein Diet

The high-protein diet benefit of a growing success. It is based on the consumption of meals or beverages containing proteins. But be careful, be aware that the pounds come back at a gallop to stop the diet.

Principle: This scheme aims to reduce calorie intake while preventing muscle wasting. In this treatment, food intake is almost exclusively protein (50 to 100 g of protein per day, or 200 and 400 kilo calories).

The system consists of powder or diet drinks which contain about 80% protein, very low in fat and carbohydrates. They are accompanied by water at will and sometimes vitamin supplements.
