Until recently there was little focus on proteins and protein diets. Was it to lose weight or health then the most attention to fat, carbohydrates and vitamins. That is changing, mainly by the growing focus on protein diets.

Not all proteins are the same

Proteins are important because in the body are converted to amino acids, which are needed again to your body to function. There are about 20 essential amino acids you need by the body 11 can be created. The other 9 you get from your protein in your diet.

Not all proteins contain the 9 essential amino acids. Actually only meat and soy contains complete protein. A major science vegatariƫrs, eat no meat, fish, eggs or dairy products it is important to notice whether you have all essential proteins within them.

The Protein Diet

The high-protein diet benefit of a growing success. It is based on the consumption of meals or beverages containing proteins. But be careful, be aware that the pounds come back at a gallop to stop the diet.

Principle: This scheme aims to reduce calorie intake while preventing muscle wasting. In this treatment, food intake is almost exclusively protein (50 to 100 g of protein per day, or 200 and 400 kilo calories).

The system consists of powder or diet drinks which contain about 80% protein, very low in fat and carbohydrates. They are accompanied by water at will and sometimes vitamin supplements.
